Force speaker

When enabled, force speaker tells JBV1 to always try to play alert audio to your Android device's built-in speaker.

Default: enabled for default profile, disabled for Android Auto and device profiles

DISABLED:

JBV1 will play alert audio to your Android device's MEDIA audio stream. Where the audio is actually played depends on whether or not your Android device is connected to a car radio or an external speaker. If your Android device is connected to a car radio for Bluetooth audio (A2DP) and not Android Auto, you will hear alert audio only when your radio is tuned to your Android device (or Bluetooth) as the audio source.

ENABLED:

When connected to your car radio with Android Auto, JBV1 will play alert audio to your Android device's ALARM audio stream. If you hear alert audio played on both your Android device and on your car radio at the same time, then JBV1 is unable to play alert audio to your Android device's built-in speaker only. If this is undesirable, you should disable force speaker.

When connected to your car radio with Bluetooth only, or when connected to an external speaker, JBV1 can play alert audio to your Android device's built-in speaker in one of two ways, controlled by the following option: Force speaker uses speakerphone.

Force speaker uses speakerphone

Default: disabled

DISABLED:

JBV1 will play alert audio to your Android device's ALARM audio stream. Note: The alarm audio stream is echoed to any connected Bluetooth audio device. If your Android device is connected to a car radio for music/media (A2DP) and your radio is tuned to your Android device as the audio source, alert audio will play to both your Android device and your car radio.

ENABLED:

JBV1 will try to turn on your Android device's speakerphone and then play alert audio to your Android device's CALL audio stream. This functionality requires the MODIFY_PHONE_STATE permission. If alert audio is muffled even after turning up alert audio volume, then it's likely that JBV1 was unable to turn on your speakerphone and alert audio is being played to the earpiece speaker instead. If this is the case, please confirm that you have granted JBV1 all the permissions it requires. Otherwise, you should disable this option.

If your Android device is not connected to an external speaker/headset or car radio, alert audio will always be played to the Android device's built-in speaker, regardless of the current audio routing configuration.
